Alongside fire alarms, you will also need to have the correct fire safety signs. With our experience and training we are able to provide expert consultation and advice for which safety signs you're required to have.
See below for some examples and descriptions of the signs you may require. If you would like to find out more or discuss this further, please speak to our team.

These signs should be used to convey 'Do Not' type commands. These can often be found in public areas or workplaces. For example, to demonstrate that smoking not allowed. In the workplace, they are used to reinforce instructions prohibiting dangerous activities and are required by the Health and Safety Regulations 1996.

These signs should be used to indicate actions that must be carried out in order to comply with statutory requirements. This could be to ensure fire doors are kept shut or to ensure appropriate safety measures are taken (wearing a hard hat on a construction site).

A warning sign should be used to make people aware of a nearby danger. This could be for flammable liquid stores or a laboratory with dangerous substances. Warning signs are required by the Health and Safety Regulations 1996.

A safe condition sign should be used to indicate, for example: escape routes, emergency exits, first aid equipment. These will be used in the event of a fire or emergency situation.
